🌱ntroduction: 👋🏾 Greetings! I’m Organic Chew Mom (OCM), curator of content for the Organic Chew Kitchen, the space within my home where I provide tasty organic sustenance and healthy meals for my tribe 🧔🏾👩🏾🧑🏾‍🦱👶🏾. I’m a married full-time working mother of two beautiful and loving sons, so being able to provide quick meals without sacrificing nutritional value and minus the toxic unnecessary additives is important to me. My interest in nutrition as preventive medicine and my young sons have been the inspiration behind my organic lifestyle enthusiasm and advocacy.

M🌱 background is in science. I spent a majority of my career working as a biopharmaceutical Virologist🦠 🔬 👩🏾‍🔬and prior to that, in clinical Microbiology & Immunology. Needless to say, my aseptic technique in the kitchen and beyond, and in light of this pandemic we are experiencing, comes second nature to me. 🧼 🤚🏾 🤚🏾

🌱 enjoy strength training and am looking forward to my first meet on the powerlifting platform in 2021. 🤞🏾 On most days, you can find me in stretchy leggings and a tee juggling work and life at home, cooking in the OCK, working out 🏋🏾‍♀️, getting worked out by my toddler 😅 and enjoying quality family time.

M🌱passion and advocacy for organic foods started with the birth of my first born son. I chose to breastfeed both sons and was adamant about continuing to provide the most naturally produced and “free” foods as possible beyond infancy. Being a vigilant label reader helps me to make conscious food choices and rule out food-like products containing artificial flavors, artificial colors, high fructose corn syrup and other unfavorable additives.
